Hi, I'm Matt! I'm a graduate student and comic creator originally from the Chicago area. I also have a dog named Spooky, who likes to jump up trees.
I'm a student in the University of Iowa's Communication Studies PhD program, studying the intersection of popular culture fandom and political discourses. I'm especially interested in identity politics and culture wars within superhero fandom. You can see some of my work on SKTCHD and Pop Culture and Theology.
My comics include Pumpkin and the Patch and Academia James. I try to make my stories fun, upbeat, and satirical.
